Directions

From Ellsworth, follow Main Street south and take Route 172 south to Surry. Turn left onto Route 176 (Morgan Bay Road) and continue for 2.5 miles to the Zendo parking lot on the left.

From Orland, Bucksport, and points South, follow Route 1 through Orland, turning right onto Route 176. Follow Route 176 East to Surry (about 8 miles), jog across Route 172, and continue 2.5 miles on Route 176 (Morgan Bay Road) to the Zendo parking lot on the left.

A Morgan Bay Zendo sign and a granite pedestal mark the parking lot. A footpath leads from the left side of the parking area down the wooded hill about 200 yards. to the meditation hall and meeting hall. It is possible to drive closer, though parking is limited. E-mail in advance if you would like directions.
