John Yasenchak has been practicing Iyengar and Kripalu Yoga for many years and teaches a gentle approach of Asana, Breath, and Sound (Chanting). He holds a doctorate in Counselor Education from the University of Maine and has been teaching graduate counseling courses since 1996. His area of expertise is clinical mental health counseling. Dr. Yasenchak also holds a masters degree in philosophy which he also taught from 1982 to 1985. He has been a practicing clinical counselor and supervisor in a variety of clinical settings since 1985. His experience includes inner city work with co-occurring disorders, university student development, and twenty years as clinical supervisor for a Native American counseling facility. He currently provides consultation and training services, and is a contributing faculty member of Walden University.Â
